Overview
Aleo is a blockchain project that focuses on privacy. It lets people use apps and make transactions without exposing their personal data. The system uses zero knowledge technology so users can prove something is true without showing the private details behind it. I joined the Aleo team as a contract designer to support product design and improve how people understand and interact with the platform.

The problem
Approach
I worked with the design team to simplify how Aleo presents privacy. We focused on breaking complex ideas into clear steps. Our approach was to guide users through actions in a way that feels familiar. We also made sure that the interface shows what is happening at each stage so users feel safe, in control, and able to understand what they are doing. The goal was to make zero knowledge features feel normal rather than technical.
Solution
Aleo has built a strong and active community. The project has supported more than 50 builders and creators through its programs. It has also funded more than 50 people who are helping grow the privacy ecosystem. In total, Aleo has given out over 1 million in grants to support new ideas, tools, and experiments focused on private and secure technology.
This made the work feel meaningful because the design we created was not just for a product but for a growing group of people who care about privacy. The impact of the community helped guide our design choices and pushed us to make the experience clear and welcoming for everyone.

Working with Aleo helped me explore how privacy can be easy for users.
